GPOBA organizes training workshops on output-based aid (OBA) for staff of the World Bank Group and other development partners.
 
The workshops focus on the use of OBA approaches to improve delivery of basic services to the poor. They can be face-to-face or by videoconference.
 
The training covers subjects such as:
  • OBA core concepts
  • How to identify if OBA is suitable
  • Designing, implementing, and monitoring OBA projects
  • Fiduciary requirements (for World Bank Group staff)

The courses are interactive with real case studies, exercises, and discussions. They are taught by subject matter experts. 
 
Training for World Bank Group staff

The standard OBA training activity for WBG staff is the 2-day workshop “Output-Based Aid (OBA) Training for Task Team Leaders”. Find some of the course documents below:

Training for Development Partners

In 2008, GPOBA organized training workshops on OBA for staff of the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Millennium Challenge Corporation.

During 2009, GPOBA organized a two-day training workshop on OBA for KfW staff in Frankfurt.

In fiscal year 2010, GPOBA plans to provide training to other donor agencies and to regional development banks.
