Morocco: Improving lives with output-based aid

Record number of participants attends OBA training in Washington

World Bank Group staff participated in a two-day workshop about output- or results-based approaches for improving the delivery of basic services to the poor. One of 34 participants, Alex Jett--a Research Analyst with the World Bank’s Financial Solutions unit--said: “Before the training I was confused as to how OBA differed from performance-based contracting in infrastructure which I was more familiar with; now I have a better understanding of OBA’s application to health, etc. I can see now that the "output" is a flexible term depending on the "outcome" desired, it isn't limited to connections or operation and maintenance, but can also be applied to services rendered.” Read more about face-to-face and online OBA Training.
