Rural communities, mainly in remote areas of Bangladesh, will benefit from two projects aiming to increase access to electricity and the range of electrification options available to households. About 200,000 rural households will gain access to electricity as a result of the broad-based OBA Energy for Rural Transformation (ERT) scheme. GPOBA is providing US$84,500 in technical assistance and eligibility for subsidy funding has been approved.

New Swedish contribution to GPOBA
