EmailApril 2010 -- World Bank MD, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, urged policymakers to find solutions for the 2.6 billion people lacking access to sanitation and the 884 million lacking access to safe water. Okonjo-Iweala’s speech, at a Spring Meetings side event to raise awareness about water and sanitation, highlighted OBA as one of the ways to increase access to water for the poor.
