| Activity Objectives: | This training aims to develop the technical skills of water managers working on EMWF-funded projects in five provinces. Specific objectives include: strengthening accountability and sustainability in day-to-day management of Rural Water Systems; improving operations and financial management skills of the Heads of Project Management Board; and increasing the ability of water managers to keep financial records and to provide sustainable financial management for Rural Water Systems. |

| GPOBA's role: | By providing this grant, GPOBA is seeking to ensure that the managers of the water schemes constructed under the project receive the training they need on the technical, financial, and customer management aspects of the schemes. These skills are key to the success of the Vietnam - GPOBA EMWF Rural Water Supply Development Project. The proposed training will also increase water managers’ awareness of and capacity to meet the need for more sustainable management of water schemes. |
