Activity Objectives:

This project will seek to extend access to telecommunications infrastructure and services in a pilot area of 4,139 villages in Indonesia, benefiting about 758,210 people.

Project Update:

A Grant Agreement was signed on March 30, 2009.

Development Impact:

GPOBA’s subsidies could help bring telecommunications access to more than six million people.

GPOBA's role:

GPOBA is currently providing Technical Assistance funding for the design of a pilot OBA program and is working toward providing subsidy funding.
