The Government has granted a concession for the provision of electricity services in one area of the country, through the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company (UEDC). It is now looking at OBA approaches for tariff suppor for a transition period when investment and maintenance must be initiated before the existence of significant operational improvement and demand growth.

Development of a subsidy contract including performance indicators, monitoring, enforcement and payment mechanisms; analysis of finacial impact of the subsidy; advice and consultation to parties as required; and, monitoring assistance.
